Lexi got a scooter from my Mom, Grandma Wendy, for Easter. So with the nice weather we had this past weekend, we of course had to go out and test it! She doesn't quite get the concept of pushing off hard enough to actually "ride" it. She just kinda scoots along, up and down the sidewalk. But eventually she will get the full concept. I just hope to eventually get her on the bike Santa got her. It doesn't have training wheels on it, so she is going to learn this summer to ride a two-wheeler. My Dad still has to take her out for her bike helmet, knee pads and elbow pads though. After she gets all her gear, she will be good to go. She will also be able to learn how to do her pogo stick once she gets all of her gear also. That way I won't have to worry about her falling off and cracking her head open!!! Maybe I will just put her in a bubble for the summer, it may be safer!!! That is, of course, when Speedco allows us to get her!!! Which brings me to my next subject!!! Speedco is going through some "changes" which ultimately leads to Daniel's schedule changing once again. Trust me, we are somewhat happy and somewhat sad about this. The "change" that happened will ease Daniel's work stress, or so I think, a little bit. He won't have to worry too much about someone trying to start problems for no reason. He will be able to do his job the way he wants to, the right way. It just all sucks because he probably, more than likely, will no longer have an alternating schedule, which also means no weekends off. When is he exactly supposed to spend time with his child? I mean, we will still get her, but she comes out to spend time with her Dad too. She's fine with me (according to Daniel she likes me more anyways, SO NOT TRUE!!!), but she also hates when he has to work all weekend. She loves her Dad and loves nothing more than spending as much time with him as she can!!! Even if he is just sitting on the computer!! *The Mudroom* We are finally almost done with the mudroom. After almost a year of trying to get the danged thing done, it is almost complete. It is completely dry walled, all minor things done, put primer up, and finally chose the colors. We are going with a darker color carpet for sure, that way it don't show as much dirt. We all know, the Linke family can get pretty dirty!!! So we decided on a lighter color for the walls. We chose tan, which I think the technical term is called "Mousse Mouse" and a green called "Belmont Green." I really think it all goes together. Now just to get the whole room painted!!! We are kinda on hold right now because of funds. But will eventually, within the next week or two *fingers crossed* get it all painted.
Rumor has it, the lady at Genoa Bank really liked me. I pray and hope it's true. All I need to do is wait on an opening and hope they give me a call. This whole not working thing is killing me. I hate not being able to do things, worrying about if Daniel is going to have enough money in the bank to get gas to go to work. Not that we were prosperous when I was working at Gails, but it was a little easier than it is now. I have a doctor appointment down in Fremont this Thursday and before I head to that, I'm going down to see if I can get on Food Stamps once again. I hate having to use that, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Even if they give us a little bit of help like they did last year, I would definitely appreciate it. I of course have to go down and lie like I did last year. It's so stupid how people that are able to work and just flat out don't go out and get jobs can get all the help in the world. But people that work and just fall on hard times every once in a while can't get the help!!! It honestly makes me sick. If I was the one popping out kids every year and a half, I could get all the help in the world!!! Thanks Ohio for rewarding all the stupid people in our state and not the ones that actually try to make something of themselves!!!
Alright, well I think I'm done venting for the time being. Hope everyone has a good rest of the week and weekend!!! Goodnight
Well, I got a call from Genoa Bank today!!! Although they are not hiring, the Human Resource Manager said she would still like me to come in for an interview, that way when the time comes and they do hire, they have my interview out of the way!! God, I Pray that this goes well! This would be an awesome job for me. Definitely better than Gail's Stop and Pop! But then again, anywhere is better than that hell hole! Bruce and Neysi firing me could be a blessing in disguise. I'm just going to pray and hope for the best. And of course, words of encouragement are always welcome also = )
Daniel is officially a proud Godfather to Mr. Christian James Czech. Christian was born via c-section at 8:19 p.m. on April 6th. He was 7 pounds 1 ounce and was 19.5 inches long. Has a head full of hair and is healthy as an ox. Congrats to Eric & Maria on such a beautiful baby boy! Lexi had a good Easter this past weekend. Woke up and found all the Easter eggs the bunny hid. And then had to go through and sort everything. I just wish we could've gotten her a little bit more for Easter. But for obvious reasons, we couldn't = ( It's so hard to believe that in just 2 months she will 7 years old. Seems like yesterday she was just turning 3. My how time flies! As if you couldn't already tell she had to get glasses. She's had them since February now. She looks so much older in them! But she most definitely don't complain about not being able to see things now!
Wedding plans are kind of at a stand still right now. Considering I don't have the money to really do anything. Kinda sucks, but just like everything else, Daniel & I will make it through it. I really need to buckle down and go find a dress. Once I get a dress, I think some of the stress will be lifted. Then the next step is to get the invitations out. I think I got all the addresses, so that's a step forward I suppose. I just have to remember, one thing at a time.
Well, I've rambled on long enough. I suppose it's time for bed. Everyone have a good rest of your week!!!
