Finally....a day to catch up

I'm going to apologize in advance for the length of this blog. This weekend/week has been absolutely crazy for me so I haven't had all the time in the world to update. So, since work gave me today off (will explain later in the blog) I figured this is the only chance I will have!!!

We had Lexi this past weekend. Daniel had to work all weekend, but she still wanted to come out to spend some time out here. She get's out of school on June 2nd, so then Daniel will be able to get her on his days off (Monday & Tuesday) to actually get to spend some good, quality time together. But anyways, my friend Tanya texted me on Saturday and asked if Lexi and I would like to go to the lake with her. We were supposed to go to a baseball game that day, but I had no ambition to drive to Perrysburg to go watch baseball that day. So, in the end we went to the lake. Lexi absolutely loved it!!! When we first arrived it was still kinda chilly and cloudy. But overall the day ended up being hot and beautiful!!!
She loved hanging out in the water. Daniel and I will definitely have to bring her back to let her swim a little bit. But for the time being she loved just being able to get her feet and jumping the waves.
Daniel took Lex home before work on Sunday, and after they left I was going out to the kitchen to get something for lunch. Well I get to the counter and realize there are ants all over the place. DISGUSTING!!! So killed a few of em, cleaned the counter off, put some powder stuff down to help kill em, showered (cuz I felt like I had a million of em all over me), and evacuated the house. By the time Daniel got home they had spread. Needless to say, we ended up going to Wal-Mart, spending money we don't have on high powered ant killer. He sprayed the kitchen before going to bed and then did a massive clean down of the entire kitchen on Monday!!! We haven't seen any ants since that day, so I'm hoping they are all gone for the rest of the summer!!!

Monday was my first day at Genoa Bank. It was spent sitting at my desk doing tests. I hated those tests and it ended up lasting all the way till Wednesday!!! But once they are done, they are done. I don't have to do em again!!! Thank God!!! Overall though, my first day went fine. My schedule is going to be 9-4 Mon-Fri. Not a bad schedule at all. So far, I have no complaints about it either. I think it will be an overall enjoyable job.

Monday night was Judd Jasper and Colin James's preschool graduation. They were both so excited!!! They walked up on stage as a group, sang a few songs, then it was time to get their diplomas.
Can you sense the excitement?!?!?
Poor Wyatt was sweating like a pig the entire time. It was so hot in there!! So I took a moment to style his hair = )

We then took all three boys out for ice cream. I believe they all deserved it!! Judd and Colin for of course making it through preschool and graduating! And Wyatt for sitting through the graduation!!
Judd eating his chocolate ice cream with sprinkles.
Colin eating his swirl ice cream with sprinkles in a cone.
Wyatt eating his swirl ice cream and the biggest child of all, Daniel eying his ice cream!!!
I am absolutely in love with this picture of Wyatt. I love that chocolaty smile!!!
I had to get pictures with the graduates of course.

Tuesday was another eventful day. Worked from 9-4 with an hour lunch break in between. They like to take new employees out for lunch during their first week. We walked down to Rayz and I got a delicious grilled ham & cheese sandwich. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water now!!! After lunch it was a few meetings and then back for some testing. I finished my second to last test right at 4. Shayne had a baseball game back in Genoa at 6, so I stopped at the pharmacy on my way home to drop Daniel's script off, ran home to change, back to the pharmacy to pick up the meds and hurried back to Genoa to make it back by 5:15! Phew, was I wore out!!! His game got over at about 7:45, then it was home to watch the season finale of NCIS!!! Then of course bed not too long after.

Wednesday I went to got at 9, finished my last test about 11 and then learned how to do some filing. Once I was done filing they gave me a list of phone numbers of insurance companies to call once I got all that done, I received an e-mail. Come to find out, the lady that gave me the list of tests to do forgot to mark off three other ones. Boy was I angry, I thought I was officially done with all those darned tests and come to find out I have more?? UGH!!! So from there I did the last three tests. Finished that right at 4. I called my supervisor to tell her that I got everything done that was given to me so she then tells me to take today off because she has nothing for me to do. I'm like serious?!?! Maybe I've got to stop working so fast, they can't keep up with me!!!

Today is full of mowing grass and watching baseball! Shayne starts the Woodville Memorial Day Tournament today at 6. So that's where I will be all weekend!!!

Till next time...

Good Things May Be Coming...

I got woke up by a wonderful phone call from Genoa Bank this morning!!! Rachel asked if I could come in and fill out some paperwork so they could do a credit and background check on me. She then asks if I can make it down today at all. I lied and told her my car was in the shop and that I may not be there till tomorrow. She said as long as I'm there by tomorrow, it will be fine. So I go shower, get ready then pray that my car starts....and....it didn't. Go figure. Piece of Shit!!! I'm so sick of it. Anyways, I call my Momma and she says she can take me. Thank God for my Momma!! I love her = ) I arrived at the bank about 1:45 and started filling out the papers. Rachel and I talked some more about the job and other things. Then she asks if I could start next week?! I was like Yeah...I could start tomorrow if you'd like me too, haha. So I start Monday at 9:30 as long as my background and credit check come back okay.

The only downfall of this is it's part-time and as of now, considered seasonal. They can't guarantee anything after August. So I will be employed for sure till the end of August. But I at least get my foot in the door. They may make it a full-time job or something may come up by then. (which I pray it does) But for the time being, I have job! It will help to have the income during these last few critical months of wedding plannings. Now I have to go clothes shopping...UGH...which I'm absolutely despising. But it needs to be done.

I am sure I will be on right away after I get home Monday to tell you all about my first day...

Till next time...

Shaken not stirred...

Oh the joy of having wireless internet!!! As I'm typing this, I'm sitting outside enjoying the crisp, evening air. *Deep Breath* Ahhh.....

So I ventured out to David's Bridal today and actually found a dress. That's right, I said I found one!!! For anyone that is nervous about finding a dress, take it from someone who doubted they would find "the one," you will know when you put it on. My heart fluttered a little bit as my Momma was zipping me up. It's weird, but true. It was only the second one that I tried on, so I got lucky and didn't have to try on a million to find it. The first one that the lady had me try on was just all wrong...ugly, made me look 10x bigger than I already am and it didn't fit me right. The second one made me smile, flattered my body and hugged me all the right ways. It was amazing. And if I do say so myself, it's B-E-A-UTIFUL!!!! I'm not going to lie, I think I'm officially more excited about the wedding. Not that I wasn't excited before about it. I just feel more excited now!!! We have almost everything done, it's amazing! I went and paid off the rest of the balance on Daniel's tux today also. Now, really the only thing left is to get Lexi in and get her fitted for her dress now. But I'm waiting as long as I can for her so she doesn't outgrow it too fast!!!

Well, we are getting ready to head out to Polleyes for dinner!!!

Till next time...

Skittles:Taste the Rainbow

As most of you know, we just finished the mudroom about a week ago now. We had been trying to finish it for almost a year, (sad, I know) so we could start on the back room. The back room had paneling up so therefore we didn't know the extent of the damage to the walls. We finally got back there and started tearing down to find out that there shouldn't be as much work as we thought!!! I personally think that is spectacular!!! The one wall has mold on, so we are just going to tear that whole wall out to make sure we get all the mold. One of the other walls has a lot of holes in it, so we think we are just going to cut and patch that one. Shouldn't be too long of a job or so I'm hoping!!!

This is the inside of the closet. Just going to repair that portion of the wall.

Still inside the closet.

This may not get done right away, but I eventually want to get a different door. This one looks horrendous!!!

This is the one and only wall we don't have to repair. There are a lot of screws and nails in it though. Once we take them all out and repair the little holes, it'll look brand new = )

I would love to know what possesses people to want to do this kind of stuff? I mean seriously!!! Then cover it up with paneling to hide it?!? Ugh, people make me sick!!!

This is the wonderful and smelly mold. So NASTY!!! I think I'll leave this wall to Daniel = )

This wall was not tore up like that. Daniel just starting tearing into it to get an idea of what he was dealing with here. And I think he was checking the insulation.

I finally got a call from Genoa Bank yesterday!!! They want me to come in for a second interview on Monday at 2:00 p.m. with the mortgage and loan people. They are trying to get me in to be a loan processor. Granted it's only part-time (25-35 hours a week), but it's more than what I have right now. And at least this way I'm getting my foot in the door! I'm so excited! I just hope everything goes well on Monday and I get a job ASAP!!!

Daniel also has a "big" day on Monday. He goes back to the doctor to find out the results of his MRI. Pray and hope they find out what's wrong with his leg, but that it's nothing serious!

I go this Saturday to look for a dress....*sigh*....I'm so not looking forward to it. I'd be happy getting married in jeans and a t-shirt, but that's not going to happen. But I also believe that WHEN I find a dress on Saturday I will have so much stress lifted off of me, or so I hope! We only have 142 days left!! 142!!!! I can't believe it's coming so fast!!! AHHHHH!!!!!!

I will most definitely try to blog on Monday to let you all know what happened with my interview and if/what they found out with Daniel's leg.

Till next time...

Oh how I love thee

Last night I was thinking, Daniel and I hardly have any pictures of just ourselves. We always have friends and/or family involved in the pic. So I told him, take a picture with me! And this is what I get in return!!!
After the last picture was taken, I asked can we get a good picture, just one? He says, "Okay." And....

This is what I got. Seriously Daniel, I pray when we get engagement photos done he cooperates just a little more!!!

149 Days

It's finally done. The mudroom is an official living space in the house...FINALLY!!! It still needs carpet, but the walls are up and painted and the trim is up and painted. It's a wonderful feeling to know we did this all ourselves. I will admit, it was kind of overwhelming when we started tearing into it and then looking to see all the work that we had to do. But in all reality, it wasn't really all that hard. It was just very time consuming. But, it's finished!! Which means of course, we have to start on the back room now. But the back room, we hope, won't be as time consuming. As of now, (mind you, we haven't taken all the paneling down to see what's behind it), we just have to do one whole wall and repair some holes. If that's all that we have to it will be wonderful. Although, this will be my most favorite room to work on. = ) Daniel says we can make it the nursery!!! I've already got the paint and border figured out. Although, I've had it figured out for a long time now. = ) My idea is to paint the walls half and half, yellow and green of course and with either a farm themed or tractor themed border. Go figure right, who would have thought that?!?! I'm super excited to start on that room nonetheless. Here are some pictures of the finished product = )

Well, I may have some big decisions to make here in the near future. My friend, Reggie, has been trying to get me out at her workplace for a while now. I had filled out an application for Bay Turf and Tractor long before I got fired from Gails, but nothing ever happened. Well, she texted me today and asked if I still was interested and of course I said yes!!! Right now she is trying to get a second secretary out there because they are really busy during the summertime. So earlier today I was thinking, this will be awesome, I hope something happens soon!!! Then I go to Bug's baseball game and Marty, the President of Genoa Bank, asks if I had called the Human Resource Manager at all this week. I had just called her on Monday and she said there was nothing open yet, but she will call me as soon as it does. So he tells me to call him Monday and talk to him. He said he thinks they are going to have something by Monday. So after I get that thrown at me my mind starts racing. What do I do? Genoa Bank would be an awesome job, but so would Bay Turf. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm glad something is finally happening, but why all at once?!? I'm not the best decision maker, especially when it comes to something this big. I mean this is my life and the future we are talking about!!! I'm really trying to weigh the pros and cons of both jobs right now. Genoa Bank has excellent medical benefits. I'm not sure what Bay Turf has. I'm not 100% on the pay at either job. The only thing that is better, as of now, about Bay Turf is that I will be able to sit down. Genoa Bank I will be up on my feet for 8 hours. But, I can't just base my decision off that. It's not like it's hard work at Genoa Bank. And I think I will chances at job promotions at Genoa Bank. At Bay Turf, I'm sure I will be a secretary and that's it. Ugh, I have no idea. I'm just so scared to make the wrong decision.

We finally set a time for our wedding. 2:00 P.M on October 2nd. BE THERE = ) Please = ) We have all the invitations stuffed, stamped and sealed. They are sitting here ready to be mailed next month. I think they turned out very nice for doing them at home. It's actually a much cheaper way to go, at least I thought so. I have an appointment at David's Bridal on May 15th. I pray and hope I find the "right" dress that day. Once I get a dress, so much stress will be relieved! After that, we are going to call the cake lady and set up a time to go and talk to her. It's unbelievable how fast the BIG day is approaching. So many emotions I'm feeling at once. It's a little overwhelming. But having my love and best friend next to me the entire day makes things a little easier.

Well, I guess I'm done rambling on for now. Till next time my friends....
