99 Days
Holy shit!!! I only have 99 days left till our wedding. I can't believe it! I can't believe that in 99 days I will be Mrs. Daniel Linke. It just seems so surreal! I'm still waiting to wake up from this dream. I just can't believe I'm getting married, much less believe it's to someone as great as Daniel. I couldn't have found a more perfect guy to have a family with and spend the rest of my life with. Although I knew from that start that we were both in love with each other, irregardless of what he may say. We still have so much to do. We go on July 12th to talk to the cake lady, we have already started getting R.S.V.P' and I think I've decided on the flowers. We still have to decide on wedding bands, food and a few other things that I can't think of at this point and time. So much to do with so little time!!! AHHHH!!!!

Happy Birthday Lexi!!!
I can't believe how fast Lexi is growing. Granted I came into her life when she was already two, the past five years have flown by! Since 2010 has started she has gotten glasses, lost her first tooth and just recently learned how to ride a two-wheeler! We had actually gotten her a brand new bike for Christmas, it's just a little bit big for her, but she will definitely grow into it! She only has a hard time getting started considering her feet can't be flat on the ground. She's already doing tricks on the danged thing. Standing up on the middle bar even!!! That girl is going to give me a heart attack!!

Miss Lexi also just had a birthday yesterday on the 16th. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! We celebrated a few days early on the 12th by having a little party for her. Quite a few people showed up!!! The night before, Friday, I was up baking and cleaning for the next day. Although the decorating the baked goods was actually pretty fun, I was exhausted after it was all said and done! I got pretty creative with the cake idea this year. I was scared they wouldn't turn our good, but they were awesome. I never even got to eat one = (
I remember my Mom years ago making these for Cody on his birthday. I had actually forgotten all about em till a few months ago. I was looking at the Betty Crocker website and as soon as I seen these, I knew I was going to make them for her birthday party!

Saturday was a beautiful day, a little hot and sticky, but all the rain held off till the very end!!! All the kids played outside and had a ball!!!
After a few hours of the kids playing outside and people munching on food, we decided it was time to open presents. Daniel and I had talked about getting Lexi a DS for Christmas, but decided she wasn't quite ready for it yet. Then we discussed it again for Easter, but I had lost my job the month before so we didn't really have the extra money to get her one at that time. We finally decided about a month ago, irregardless of what money we had, she deserved a DS. We ordered her a pink DS lite, a game and a 17-1 thing. The 17-1 thing came with a case for the DS, cases for the game cartridges, a wrist thing, another stylus, a carrying bag and a few others. Needless to say, I think she was excited about getting it!!!

For some odd reason, when I look at this picture all I can see is Daniel. She is definitely her Father's Child!!!
Now it's time to get some cake and ice cream!!!
Overall, I think everyone had a good time. Thanks to everyone for showing up!!!

Thanking God today
As everyone knows, we had some devastating weather come through the area last night. All my family is okay and well. Most of my friends made it out unscathed also. The few that didn't got hit pretty hard. My fellow co-worker (her son Devin also plays on Shayne's baseball team) lost everything last night. Thankfully, no one was hurt. Last I heard, they are still searching for their cars. Another friend, Dan Lowe, lives in the subdivision they have been talking about on the news a lot. He, thankfully, was one of the few houses that didn't get demolished. He has damage, but the house is still standing at least. And the poor Lake High School graduates. They were supposed to graduate to day at 2:30, but as a result of a tornado last night, they lost their school. Although it's devastating either way, thankfully it happened last night and not during graduation today. As of 7:19 p.m., Sunday, at last count, there has been 7 people confirmed dead. After what happened last night, I'm definitely holding my family closer to my heart. The tornado just went north of Clay Center where my Dad, Grandma, Aunt, Uncle and cousins live. (Shayne was with Rachel in Genoa at the time.) Genoa almost got hit also. I was a complete nervous wreck while this was going on. Thankfully, everyone was safe and sound after it was all done. My prayers go out to all the people that have lost their houses, possessions and even family members. May God be with you.
On to a little bit of a happier note, Rian became a graduate of Genoa High School last weekend. I can't believe I now have two brothers that have graduated. Gosh I'm getting old. It's fun watching them grow up and seeing what they turn out to be, but yet, it's all so depressing. I wish they would all go back to when they were 10 and younger. Rian then had his graduation party last night. (June 5th) It was an awesome party, if i do say so myself. He kept trying to tell me that no one was going to show up and that he had no friends. Well let me tell you, his party started at 2 and by at least 5 there was close to 20-30 kids in the house. So much for not having friends Rian Alan!!! But I most definitely had a good time. Except for Mr. Rilee William giving us all a scare!!! He just recently started on the diabetic insulin pump. (He's had diabetes for years, but until just about a week ago, he was giving himself injections. We are hoping the pump will regulate his blood sugar levels a little better and he will be able to live more of a normal life.) The first week he was on the pump they only had saline running through it, just making sure it was working correctly and everything. Then on Wednesday he went and got insulin in it. He has to test himself every three hours for about two weeks. And yes, this means getting up at midnight, 3, 6 and 9 in the morning to test himself. Makes for an exhausted kid. Anyways, he was with his friends yesterday upstairs at the house, and I guess he started acting really weird. His friends finally talked him into coming downstairs and then they came and got Rachel and I. We walk into the house and he was just acting very weird. He was lying on the floor and kinda throwing his head all around. And when he talked, he was slurring his words. He honestly sounded like a drunk person. We finally got him up in a chair and realized he was burning up. He was warm to the touch and just dripping sweat. Now mind you, this is at the time when all this kids are there for Rian's party, so it was quite stuffy in the house. We was still throwing himself around a bit so I stood behind him to make sure he didn't hurt himself. He just kept saying he was tired and that he wanted a nap. Well we weren't satisfied with him just being tired. He tested himself and he was 118, which isn't exactly low. Actually, it's quite normal to be there, but like I said, for some reason he was acting like his levels were really, really low. We called the nurse that is charge of teaching him about his pump and everything and she told us to get some protein into him and then let him nap. That he should wake up a lot better. So he had a shredded chicken sandwich and then went upstairs for a nap. It was honestly the scariest thing that has happened with him since he's been diagnosed with this years ago. He just wasn't Rilee anymore. But he woke up and acted like nothing happened. Come to find out, he really don't remember a whole lot about it. SCARY!!! But he ended up being okay after eating and sleeping. Hopefully, that never, ever happens again!!!
Tomorrow is going to be my first official day of doing things myself. The guy that has been training me is moving to LA and it's his last day tomorrow. We are having a potluck lunch for him and he will be busy doing things all day, so I shall be by myself. Kinda scared, but kinda happy to finally be able to do things myself also. It's really not all that hard of work, it's just tedious work. Making sure every file is right. And if something is wrong and they audit that one file you can get into trouble for it. But so far, I haven't made any mistakes and I've taken notes on how to do things. So after Jon leaves, I should be fine = )
Not much else going on in this neck of the woods...
Till next time...
